Good result, but you have to remember these boys were the equilvelant of Killie, HIbs or Aberdeen. The real stuff begins against the danes in the summer, but a 4-0 win must be a boost to flagging morale.

Yeah, chuffed with that. Dosnae matter who we were playing, all you can do is win and we did. The trip has been definately worthwhile, a few good finds that wouldnae have got the chance otherwise and safe to say Berti has made up his mind on who the numpties are as well.
Well done Scotland, here's to Portugal 2004!

They weren't great, but the result doen't matter beyond breaking the losing sequence. Main thing is that he picks up a few new, young players. Ross, Dobie, Stockdale and one or two others look worthy of continued invovement. lee wilkie actually looked not too bad!

Put it this way, they made Scot Gemmill look good.
Garry O'Connor didn't do hinmself any favours when he came on either. His first touch was terrible.
Still a good morale booster. Turkey only beat these chumps 2-0.

Swanners - don't be so insulting.
This lot were absolutely shocking - the standard of player that was captain was someone who couldn't get a game for that great Dundee side of the mid 90s.
Just because Vogts said they were the standard of a non-OF team doesn't mean it is true. I assume you didn't see the game.
Just think how well Scotland had done if players such as Nicolson, Cameron, Rae and McNaughton had been there - let alone the supposed big guns such as Ferguson and Lambert.
I would rate the Hong Kong side as considerably worse than San Marino.
I also like your insinutation that the Hibs and the Dons are of a similar standard. Ha.

Surely this game can't be looked upon any differently than the game against Dundee United at Forthbank ?
In fact, Dundee Utd are a better team.
Other than the more inexperienced players having another 90 min kick about under their belt, I don't see any further steps forward.

I thought performance wise south africa game was best on tour, but a win today, canny knock it, both better than korea game or any under borrin brown, role on Denmark........na,na,na,na,na scotland, scotland, id walk a million miles.........
