GET A LIFE!!!

ok, sticking my neck out here, but could this be our strongest team?

                            Douglas

Matteo          Caldwell           Weir               Dailly

Williams        Lambert         Fergusson        Burley

                Hutchinson          Dobie

subs: Crainey, Cummings, Ross, McNaughton, McCann, Stewart, O'Connor.

I know I've bound to have forgotten someone, but what do yous think?

And I know its 442, but systems are interchangeable during a game anyway, so Berties prefered 4312 could still come into play.

Completely forgot about Naysmith and Davidson!! They've been away too long (my excuse)! So yes i agree with you there. Cummings and Caldwell both have a future Jimbers, and need to be included in the squad. Dailly's had an excellent season at West Ham according to my friends that go there regular and he has good pace, something needed at the back which he proved against Nigeria. Stockdale I've yet to be convinced of and as for your obsession with Elliot, dont make me laugh!

                    Ross  Wier  Dailly
Burley  Ferguson  Lambert  Hughes McCann
                    Winters  Malonie

subs: Naysmith, Gallagher, Dobie, Caldwell, Matteo

i think somethnig like that is good, Malonie is shithot i think, i was talking to the ref of the latest U-18 Celtic - Rangers game (we won 3-2) and he told me malonie was absolutely brilliant, he was running mental all night! that's what we need i think!
Douglas is very good, much better than that knob sullevin.

Cheers

I think the future has to be 3-5-2 I dont think we have the talent on the flanks to play 4-4-2.  Against Nigeria we had naebdy on the left of midfield and against the Koreans we had naebdy on the right.

Douglas

Weir
Dailly
Matteo

Naysmith
Lambert
Williams
Ferguson
McNaughton/Burley

Dobie
Hutchison/McCann when Hutchy isnt fit.

My team to start the Euro 2004 campaign is:
                    Douglas

   Weir          Matteo           Dailly

Nicholson                                Naysmith

       Cameron       Lambert      Ferguson

           Dobie        McCann

Subs Bench:   Sullivan    Crainey    Ross    Burley      Maloney

Sorry no room for past their sell-by dates Hendry and Elliott.Callum Davidson and Douggie(invisible man)Freedman are not good enough.Look to promising youngster like Kenny Miller,Russ Anderson,Jamie Smith and Robbie Winters.

Bertie's tried out right backs & Ross is definitely better than any of them. Naysmith & Davidson have done nothing special this year so i sould have room for Crainie. So ...Douglas; Weir Dailly Matteo; Ross Ferguson Lambert Crainie; Hutchison; O'Connor McCann. subs Sullivan Naysmith Caldwell Burley McNaughton Maloney Hughes McFadden.

Here's my half-pence worth 4-4-2 changeable to 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 (with alternatives for injury in brackets); Goalie - Douglas (Sullivan), Right Back - Dailly (Ross), Left Back - Naysmith (Crainey), Centre Backs - Caldwell & Matteo (Malcom & Wilkie.  OK so this category's a bit weak but don't want Weir and Elliott back), Midfield Anchor - Lambert (Williams), Midfield - Hughes (Ferguson), Attacking Midfield - Hutchison (Malloney), Wide Right - McNaughton (Smith) Wide Left - McCann (McFadden) -  Striker - Dobie (Kyle or O Connor)
Ferguson is only a notional inclusion as I expect him to call off as soon as he's included!

Talks too much

For what it is worth I would line up like so:

                          SULLIVAN

ROSS           WEIR            MATTEO         DAVIDSON

McNAUGHTON  FERGUSON   LAMBERT   NAYSMITH

                        DOBIE      **** OV

Sadly Hutch is oot until Christmas time, and the rest like O'Connor, Kyle, Stewart, Williams, Stockdale, Douglas keeping the benchwarm.
