GET A LIFE!!!

Well i feel that the hardest of our 3 match tour is over in the koreans. but how does everyone think we'll fair against the south africans and the kong kong select side?  I really actually don't know what to expect, i think their will be more changes to the side.. possibly brining in mcfadden, wilkie, giving o'connor 90 mins.. and dobie upfront too.  Williams and kyle maybe a good run about too.

A draw would be a nice result, i'd like to see us get  adraw from the south africa game, and maybe put 2 or 3 past hong kong.

is that too much to ask? please scotland.. hehe

anyone else thoughsts?

Kevie,
Obviously we all think we should be able to beat the HK XI, but at the end of the day we know nothing about them so we'd better not speculate.
As for SA, I never fancied our chances against them before today's match, never mind after it. With the same team we would lose it. Simple as that. Obviously though Berti won't play the same team. I'm not convinced though, that any combination of the squad we have out there will be good enough to win the game. All I ask for is a better performance and a bit of Scottish pride and determination.
We'll have to wait and see. I too would leave O'Connor and Dobie upfront. Bring in McFadden and Williams from the start. Drop Gemmill and Johnstone. Get Ross back to right back and play Stockdale out of position at left back. I'd rather we got the very best from Ross. Leave Dailly and Weir where they are, but stick a couple of rockets up their hamsters hidey holes before the game.
It's all just guesswork though.

mmm........as well as a lot of cold beer, I would expect a draw or close defeat against South Africa and a 2 or 3 goal victory over the Hong Kong League XI, who I believe are going to be captained by an Englishman, Gary McKeown, ex-Arsenal? who was crowned Hong Kong Player of the Year.

If we lose to Hong Kong then i am going to offer my services to Berti......

South Africa will be close, depends on how well we mark Benny McCarthey.
One good point, Lucous Rhadabe is playing something like his 2nd game in 10 months, so should be short of match practace.
Don't know if he is still out there, but recall a Scots striker called David Bull (or something) playing out there, played for meadowbank thistle years ago.

HK beat China last month so I wouldn't expect a 3-0 scoreline. The Scots will struggle in the heat (& it is bloody hot!!), so don't expect too much!

An Englishman with a name like that well the Hong Kong League isnt known for its GIANTS (wonder why that is!!)

hopfully the Hong Kong team will be practice of how to take on a weak team (im refering to the Faero's of course!!)

think Dobbie might score!!!

I am going on holiday today and I'm going to avoid these games at all costs.  I honestly fear they could be too much to take.  I'm beginning to think we would have been better off getting an average Scotsman to do the job like Jefferies or Williamson - that's how desperate I feel today

Talks too much

Gary Mceown played for Dundee for a few seasons in the early 90's, average player who was a bit injury prone. If he's the captain and representative of the standard of player we're up against then it'll be a black day if we don't get a result.
