It would have been better if you put your thumb to your nose and blew him a raspberry when he tried to shake his hand.
That would not looked out of place with Union Jack's attitude to the Tartan Army.

He basically had rehearsed answers to everything.
for example...to "you must be willing to take some of the blame, seeing as you threw out the solo bid?" he answered "so, would Hamilton be better than Croke Park?"
Unfortunately, after 4 hours of free beer, my usual razor sharp (Gillette Ladyshave) wit was missing and I lacked a decent comeback.
At least the lads all had a pint in the other hand, and I managed a really good frown before and after, with arms folded emphatically together.
