Ah ken the title will have upset some of ye on this board,thoose auld enough to remember Italia 90 anyway.
As one of thoose unlucky enough to have witnessed the defeat at the hands of the mighty Costa Rica, i am on the verge of dealing with this nightmare.In a few weeks im off to Costa Rica.Has anyone been brave enough to go there?How do you react when you tell the locals youre fae Scotland and the inevitable happens ,they start to grin and then mention that game?Any tips greatly appreciated.
On the way im in Madrid for a few nights any good playces to visit whilst there?

At uni I got to know some students from Costa Rica and to be honest, its no as cellibrated over there as much as you think....back in 1990 only 35% of the population acctually had tv (and most of them were black & white...reason we had to wear our away kit)....they are acctually more proud of getting to World Cup 2002.
If you want a laugh, talk about the year 1983 in Madrid....been totally blanked out
