Can any of you guys recommend a hotel in Northumberland near Bamburgh or Seahouses?
I know that this post isn't as exciting as the Rome and Vilnius posts but even so, maybe you have an opinion

went wa the wife last year for a dirty weekend in the bamburgh castle hotel in seehooses
the room had a big jacuzzi so it was a watersport weekend. hotel ok. was not dear. great fish and chips in seehooses. also try the seafood restaurant up the high street. v good seafood kebabs.

Livin in Alnwick not far fae Seahouses and you can stay in Alnwick Castle where they actually filmed Harry Potter (wee bit of useless info.) Or theres a nice wee pub called The Market Tavern that have good rooms at a decent price. Locals are a wee bit Deliverance right enough but ye canny win them all can ye?
