Ah've noticed a number o' the TA showin a wee liking for the pear cider these days. If you're passin through London between 5th - 9th August or even live near (Loony Alba take note), then get yersel down to Olympia for the Great British Beer Festival. There's 15 pear ciders, 40 ciders, 300+ UK beers including a special Scottish Bar wi' loads o' new brews frae Orkney tae Dumfries. You can also get some practice in for Germany cos' there's at least 30 draught plus 50 or 60 bottled. Re-live Brussels and Vilnius - they've got a' the special Belgian stuff and even brews frae Lithuania. It's pure magic! I go every year and get pished.

GET A LIFE!!! |
I can recommend the GBBF as a good day out. However a couple of things to take note of.
1. Go at the start of the week (Tuesday evening or Wednesday) as by Thursday night most of the decent beer has been sold.
2. Olympia is the world's biggest greenhouse - or at least it seems like that - and the forecast for next week is for tempeartures in the high 80s/low 90s in London. It can get a bit hot and sweaty.
