GET A LIFE!!!

Fellas,

I'm off to Praha in November for a few beers (Czech airlines doing a special deal through Opodo - £49 return from Stansted!!!).  Can anyone recommend a cheap and cheerful hotel for us?

Any other "must-see's/do's" will be welcomed.

Ta.

Things to see in Prague:

Old Town Square (try to imagine it full of 4000 Scots)
Charles Bridge (as seen in Mission Impossible)
The Jewish Quarter
The Antique Clock (on the edge of Old Town Square)

and if you've got the time, the castle is worth a look as is the cathedral within it's walls - even if it's only for the spectacular views of the city.

Bars:
O'Che's (TA Headquarters #1)
The Keltic Bar (TA Headquarters #2)
Caffreys (TA Headquarters #3 - a tad more expensive as it's on Old Town Square)

Something to say

Hello Sacks,
Try http://www.marys.cz for accommodation, they'll pick you up at the airport for a nominal fee too. We went on my stag do at the end of june & they took care of us. You can rent an apartment for about £12-20 a night each & you get a free city tour into the bargain.

Try O'Che's pub on Karlova for beer & good chilli, there's a cool pub just downstairs from the James Joyce bar too, the beer & absinthe are very cheap (no more than 50p a beer).
Nightclub-wise the best bet is Lavka next to Charles Bridge it's open till 3 or 4 at least (don't know if it got damaged in the floods though).

Cheers,
Gordon

Fresh ideas

Try Hotel Salvatoire, on Trularska Street (2 mins walk from Old Town Square), 3 Star £15 a night including breakfast, stayed there in 99, and 2000.

so thats who i was dancing with on the balcony.was he the wee guy who nutted me as he pulled me up onto the ledge & nearly sent me flying into the river.which reminds me,some people voluntarily took a heider into the river with rather sore results.also have a vague recollection of trying to liberate a pedallo to go for a midnight tartan navy cruise.wouldnae have been able to do that a couple of months ago without banging your heid off the king charles bridge.
