Talks too much

http://www.bbc.co.uk/football, and scroll down past all the drivel about the World Cup to the really big news.  In the story about the SFA approaching Reiner Bonhoff, it states that a number of friendlies are in the pipeline, most of them at home.  The one away one is next year's August international date, where we have apparently confirmed an Oslo meeting with Norway.

Ya beauty.  Iceland and Norway are the two places I've wanted to go to for ages, and now I'll get both.  No disrespect to Craigy Broon, but Vogts attitude is so refreshing, not for him "Let's not upset the clubs by arranging friendlies all the time", co-operation that was never returned.

One of the budget airlines flies to Oslo as well.

Aye, I've just checked and Ryanair fly there from the UK.  I don't think you can book up yet, but as a guide I checked how much it would cost on the corresponding dates this year, and it came to £92.  Nae bad at a', mind you wi' the price o' swally there we could do wi' savin a wee bit on the travel cost.

See you over there.

You can get a ferry over to Norway from Newcastle as well, can't you ?  Sounds like better fun to me, rather than boring old flying there.

Aye, you can get a ferry tae Kristiansand (£470 for 4 in a car) . Then you've got a 4/5 hour 200 mile drive tae Oslo, which isnae sae guid. Ye can also take the train which takes just as long, but yer talking another £100 return.
Think it's the cheapy Ryanair fae Prestwick for me (£80) unless before the game I'm gaun tae Norway for ma holidays.....again...

Went to Lisbon for club match few years ago and despite them winning Sporting Lisbon fans were a shower of s***e.

Anyone have similar experiences at 5-0 Scots match?

Aye got to agree about the Lisbon fans Andy. Was over for the 5-0 game and there were about ten thousand of them waiting outside stadium after game. Scots had to run the gauntlet to get to the buses not a few being spat on and jostled. It would only have taken one of us to retaliate to start a riot. Worst home fans Ive encountered on my travels. Doesnt bare thinking about if they had lost the game. Quite a few of the troops were turned over in the centre of Lisbon and when we arrived on match day we were warned to body swerve it. Not my favourite destination Portugal.
