I sent a sterling cheque dirctly to their faroes office.  Took about a month for the cheque to be deilivered and cleared.

Most of us had to have the dosh to them at least a month ago...

What flight are use boys on?
I got a deal we Atlantic Airways leaving Aberdeen on the fri morn and return on the sun dinner time. They have thrown in 2 nights digs on the Island to the east of the main 1 (cany mind what its called) all for £295.  I sent the cheque away 2 weeks ago but it still hasny been cashed.
Is there anyone else who has got the same deal?

we fly out on the wednesday, back early doors on sunday.

We are also on a different island to torshaven, but I hear that the game is not being played in their, but 1 mile way from where we are staying...  Torshaven stadium I hear is an astroturf pitch which is not alowed by fifa.

Had a look at our booking forms, we are staying on the island called Eysturoy, in a place called Runavik in the hotel called Runavikar Sjomanshein. Do you know which island the game will be getting played on?

Were in the same hotel I think.  Seems like theres going to be loads of TA there.

The stadium I think it will be played in is in the next village south of where we are staying.  Have a look on multimap web site - they have a basic, but usefull map of faroes

Do you know if Estoroy is linked by a tunnel now? I have a sneaky feeling it might be. The last couple of times we've had to get a ferry.....good piss ups until the beer ran out.

Ive been sent the 2002 brochure and it doesny mention any tunnel so looks like it'll still be the ferry.
Is there any pubs or a brewery on Eysturoy?

What flights/packages are on the go with Atlantic???

I'm after somethin' as short as possible.

You're 2 nights fri-sun sounds perfect Kerrso!! Are they quite helpful for booking a deal or is it a lot of hassle?

Oh aye.....don't know if anyone's picked up on this. UEFA have ordered them to play the game in Toftir (where we played them last time - on the edge of a cliff!!) and not in their shiny new stadium in the capital of Torshavn.

I would actually prefer Toftir.....there's something romantic about playing on the top of a hill! Make sure you wear plenty warm clothes and take a carry oot on the ferry (it ran out of booze after half an hour last time!).

As far as I know there's only one boozer on the whole of the Faroes (Cafe Natur)....there's a couple of clubs, loads of cafes and a few drinking mens clubs (which are easy to get into). Not sure what the other islands are like for drinking.

I have only booked the flight to the Faroes. My accommodation is in the lap of the gods and the hands of the Battlebus Commander.
See you there
