Talks too much |
I am taking a battery charger with me to HK. However, it's a UK three pronged plug which I suspect won't fit plugholes in HK. I have an adapter to allow use on mainland Europe (two round pins) and another which will work in the US (two flatish pins) or with a minor change, in Australia (two flatish pins at a slightly different angle). Which will I need for HK or is it none of the above???

My Lonely Planet says mostly standard UK three pin, but there are some with round holes...
Reading between the lines I would say that the round hole ones are quite rare and are probably the 1960s UK three pin round hole sockets from before we got all "safe"... But I'm guessing!

After todays fiasco, just put your fingers into the mains and you will get a bigger buzz than watching us getting gubbed by the Hong Kong V (they have decided only to put out a 5 a side team and still beat us ).

Craigie, there is a web site I posted recently about those issues:
(actually if you were not that lazy, you could find it on next page under 'Travel Adaptor for Korea & Hong Kong')
http://www.travelsupplies.com/countries/Hong_Kong.html
I hope the answer doesn't come too late
