Got a good point Big Dave - somewhere a bit cooler might be easier on the old sweat rashes! |

I'd love to go to Austria/ Switzerland...
Switzerland eh... potential for an International incident there... first army to invade a neutral european country for quite a while... aye well, would wake them up anyway. (plus the burds are magic there!) |

I like the idea of Bosnia/Croatia, but that just isn't going to happen, they have enough economical problems to sort out first before building new stadiums! Same goes for Hungary and Russia. I wouldn't mind going to the Nordic countries but that would be too dear! so its Austria and Switzerland then, I can handle that..... |

alanmcgregor,
Are in touch with wee Greg ?
Can you ask him to get in touch with me on this site ?
I met him on my first trip (Gothenberg '97) with a Mr N Wallace. I've just scanned photos from that trip and am going to send them to pasileypete for his tartanarmyontour site and want to check with the lads on that trip before thery go online.
Cheers,
Peter

As someone who has spent a lot of time in Budapest (trying to avoid wee Greg !) it definitely has the best looking women of ANY of the places I have been - although I have a feeling Reykjavik might just shade it - GO Bjork.
I don't mind where 2008 is - as long as we are THERE |

Ally,
The public transport in Scandanavia is fantastic and you can get across without finding a sea.
In Ireland they don't have the transport and security infrastructure. And if 20 000 people need to move from here to there in one day how will that be done?
This is a real problem, not a glib arguement! |

Before I was cut off mid flow,I was going to say Bosnia/Croatia.
NOBODY deserves it more than they do,after what they went through.
p.s.
Austria is crap.Vienna is the most boring city on the planet, and the people are ba5t4rds.

How come there are so many people decrying Scotland/Ireland on the basis of... "How are you gonna get from Scotland to Dublin?"...
but there are so many people thinking that Sweden?Norway/Finalnd/Denmark is just fine???
If the Scandinavians win the bid it proves that UEFA are corrupt!
If we can't get it I'd prefer any of the following...
Croatia/Bosnia, Hungary or Russia. |

Russia is tricky.People waiting to mug you at every corner.Dodgy food.Secret police.
Scandanavia is ace, although I've only been to Finland.Gorgeous women, really friendly people.Modern and clean.
The drink in Norway and Sweden isnae cheap, though.
Been to Hungary for a few days-cockroach hell.Very hot in summer, |

Hungary for me I could do a wee bit of business and have it all tax deductable.
Plus they have delightful scenery and it is also cheap |

I like the idea of Hungary, Budapest is a great city but admittedly I don't know anything about the other cities involved in Hungary's bid |
